We want to use film awards in our trailer to create a more professional look and as it is a convention of real film trailers. Film awards are used in real film trailers to promote the film to the audience. As our trailer is a youth culture and is an 'indie' style, we want to use a recognisable but individual film award.
After researching other films with simular genres to ours, we have decided to use the official selection film award with the 'East End Film Festival' and then the 'SXSW Film Festival' awards.
